• August 2011: again a NEW WORLD RECORD by Chris Rosin! 178 moves at the 5T game, one more move than his previous record.
  One month earlier, Chris Rosin gave a talk on his search at the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence 2011, and won a "distinguished paper award". The video of his IJCAI talk, and his paper, are available.
                   

• New page on the 5T+ variant. Will you improve the old record of Marc Bertin? He obtained 216 moves by hand, without any computer, grid published in Science & Vie in 1974.
                 

• Graphics on the enumeration of distinct grids at the 5D/5T/4D/4T games, from numbers computed by Michael Quist in 2008.

• The origin of Morpion Solitaire is still a mystery! Thanks to Jean-Paul Bardoulat and BGV, (bulletin of the APMEP, French association of mathematics teachers): in the July 2011 issue, the readers were asked to send their testimonies. Unfortunately, no answer giving references before 1974.

•   Thanks to Pour La Science (Maurice Mashaal) and Sciences et Avenir (David Larousserie). They announced Rosin's records of 178 and 177 moves.

• The eight nice covers of Science & Vie from 1974 to 1977 containing columns of Pierre Berloquin on Morpion Solitaire. Thanks to Hervé Poirier, editor, for his authorization.

• Dariusz Gierlotka announces that his software playing at Morpion Solitaire named Lineapolis is now available on AmigaOS 4
