Morpion Solitaire - List of the site's news
added February 15th 2010
- On the original 5T game:
- NEW
RECORD by computer,
with 145 moves by Haruhiko
Akiyama Feb 4th 2010, one more move than the previous record done by computer.
Even if it is an excellent result, the old record of 170 moves done
without
computer by C.-H. Bruneau in 1976 remains far from beaten
- Charles-Henri Bruneau's original
letter of 1976 found in Pierre Berloquin's archives! Including
his handwritten grid of 170 moves which is still today the world record.
- New page on the first record grids of
1972-1975,
from 149 to 164 moves. Some of these old
grids had never been published! Many
thanks
to Pierre Berloquin for his archives, and Bernard Lemaire for
his information on Charles William Millington the author of several record
firsts (149, 152, 163 moves).
- More than 800 million grids generated at random by Jean-Jacques
Sibilla
- Misleading results in my search of
the lost grids of 176, 179, 233 moves, grids announced -but not published-
in 1982 by Jeux & Stratégie. Thanks to Michel Brassinne,
Jacques Erb and Bruno Moret for their testimonies.
